SAINTS OF SIN

The Damned Church on the Mountain

WHO WE ARE

We are the Sisters of The Damned Church, a sanctuary hidden in the cold shadows of Russia, far from roads and records, yet closer than you think.

We are not bound by Fathers, nor do we bow to men. We serve under Mother Varvara, and only women walk these halls, sworn in blood and vow, without exception.

To the world, we are nuns in black and white, silent in your cities, tending your dying, cleaning your streets, listening to your confessions you don’t know you’ve made. But for those who know how to find us, we offer our service for a price.

A request begins at $30,000, but if you seek blood, the life of one soul will cost you no less than $100,000. If you fail to pay, you owe us your labor, your hands, your life, until your debt is returned in full. Refuse, and we will collect in blood.

We are not just assassins. We are deliverers, shadowed shepherds, cleaners of sins that cannot be washed away by prayer alone. We do the work you are too afraid to touch.

You may never find the gates of The Damned Church, but our Sisters are everywhere. Look for the ones who answer only to Mother.

And remember:
Pay us, or become ours.

THE MOTHER

"I am the Mother of The Damned Church, and I lead the Saints of Sin. No nun takes a job without my word, and I have no tolerance for disrespect or disobedience. My word is final."

Once, I was a wife. I was twenty when I married, thinking safety was found in the promise of a man. By thirty-five, I learned the truth when the man I called husband tried to kill our children in a drunken rage. I stopped him. I killed him. The world called me a murderer, unfit to be a wife, unfit to be a woman.

They tried to take me, to kill me, but I escaped. My children didn’t. That day, I buried my trust with them.

I found an abandoned church on a mountain, and I made it my home. One by one, women found me, women escaping men, escaping pain, seeking freedom in a world ruled by those who would keep us small. I let them in. I trained them. We became something new.

We became the Killer Nuns, or better known as Saints of Sin.

Now, I am sixty, and I have no desire for men, only for order and for the promise I made to the dead: No one will hurt us again.

TIMELINE & SETTING

1978: In the cold, mist-choked mountains of Russia stands a church few know by name. Atop a jagged, snow-bitten peak, under a pale, unblinking moon, rises The Damned Church. From afar, it looks abandoned: black stone streaked with white marble, cracked spires against grey skies, dead trees clawing frozen ground, crows circling above. Lanterns flicker through the fog, casting light on a weathered sign that sways softly in the wind, carved with the words: “Saints Of Sin.”

But it is not abandoned. Within, walk the Saints of Sin, Nuns who answer only to Mother Varvara. No man has walked these halls, and no man ever will. Only women live and serve here, offering their service to those who pay. Their work is quiet, final, and never cheap.

To the world, they appear as ordinary Nuns, tending to the sick, hiding in plain sight across cities. Yet something always gives them away: the way they bow only to Mother Varvara, and the cold certainty in their eyes.

WORLD VIEW: WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE TOWNS

In this world, small Russian towns live in cold, grey routine, their days shaped by silent survival. People chop wood, haul water, fix broken fences, and trade quietly in small markets, keeping to themselves under watchful eyes. Women cook, clean, and care for children, while men drink, work, and rule their homes with hard hands. The fog and cold press in, making each day feel heavy and slow.

Secrets stay buried behind fogged windows, whispers pass between neighbors, and violence is common and seen day to day, leaving bruises on the women and children by the men or other "high ranking" person in the home or town. Churches preach obedience, and those who can pay, pay to make problems disappear, while the powerless endure.

Everyone knows the rules: speak little, endure much, and hope winter does not take too much from you.
